11-10-07 Destin Air Charters pilots Curt Rood and Ted Keisler completed Learjet flight training at FlightSafety Wichita, Kansas. Curt completed the recurrent course while Ted received upgrade training. 11-6-2007 Destin Air Charters welcomes Cindy Heath from Auburn, Alabama. Cindy will be the Senior Flight Coordinator for Destin Air Charters. Destin Air Charters will value her expertise and dedication from her previous experience as the Rushton Air office manager and flight coordinator which was a 24/7 operation. Her experience will help take Destin Air Charters' 24/7 operation to the next level.
11-6-2007 Destin Air Charters welcomes Eric Snyder from Jacksonville, Florida. Eric will be the Aircraft Maintenance & Crew Chief for Destin Air Charters. Eric has 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience with 6 years as a depot level aircraft mechanic for the Navy and 4 years as an F-15 crew chief for the Air Force. He is working on his Bachelors degree in Business. Destin Air Charters will value Eric's experience as the company continues to add airplanes to manage and to charter.
June 2007 - Destin Air Charter's VP of Marketing Tammy McDaniel completed Leadership Okaloosa and was awarded the "Peggy Brockman Award" as top Leader in the 2007 Class.
March 2007 - Destin Air Charters welcomes Curt J. Rood, Jr. from Niceville, Florida. Curt Rood will be initially flyng the King Air B200, Cirrus SR22 and Lear 35 as Captain on all three aircrafts. His aviation career began in the Marine Corps where he flew helicoptoers, prop planes & jets. He spent 4 of the years instructing Navy & Marine Corps aviators in fixed-wing aircraft, and left the Marines Corps as Fourth Marine Aircraft Wing's senior aviation risk managment instructor. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Curt flew for Northrop Grumman's Aviation Division as a Captain in the Beech Airliner 1900D & Citation Excel 560. In addition to being their Evaluator Pilot in the Beech Airliner 1900, he was Northrop's Southeast Base Safety Specialist. Curt joined Destin Air Charters after moving to the Destin Area with his wife and 5 boys.
March 2007 - Destin Air Charters welcomes Ted Keisler from Miramar Beach, Florida. Ted will be initially flying the Lear 35 & King Air B200 for Destin Air Charters. Ted has piloted everything from Regional Jets, Learjets, King Air's and Single Engine Cessna's. After recieving his B.S. from Virginia Tech, Ted moved "home" to the mountains of Colorado where his love for aviation grew. From Colorado he enrolled in an aviation program with Flight Safety International. Ted's aviation career started as a flight instructor with Paris Air in Vero Beach, Florida and Miracle Strip Aviation in Destin, Florida. Ted has flown for a Regional Airline. Destin Air Charters will appreciate Ted's background as the company continues to diverse it's charter fleet of airplanes.
December 2006 - Destin Air Charters welcomes Kevin Cocozzoli. Kevin and his wife reside in Crestview, Florida. After receiving an Engineering Degree from Michigan State University, Kevin joined the United States Air Force. He flew the RC-135 Reconnaissance plane and was a flight instructor. Kevin retired from the Air Force after 24 years of service. He has been flying privately for over 30 years. Kevin built his own plane which he flies regularly. Kevin will be flying the Cirrus SR-22. He has been hired to also fly the Socata TBM 700 that Destin Air Charters manages. We welcome Kevin's aviation experience.
October 2006 - Destin Air Charters received a "Best of the Emerald Coast Award" by Emerald Coast Magazine Readers.
February 2006 - Tammy McDaniel the Vice President of Marketing for Destin Air Charter was voted "2006 Women of the Year Award" by the Emerald Coast Chapter of the American Business Women Association.
